Forza Motorsport 3 was designed and developed by Turn 10 Studios. The first release date for this Xbox 360 racing game was in October 2009. This is the third installment in these series of racing games which has over 400 cars that can be completely customized and has the ability for players to race as many as eight cars on a track at one time. In the second version of this game the only cars you were allowed to paint or upgrade were the tuner cars and the production cars. In this third installment all the cars can be painted and upgraded. The game designers have also added stock cars in this third edition. Players are now provided with a driving view that makes it seem as though they are in the car, and they can have assisted driving by pushing just one button. The vehicles have the ability to roll over and their undercarriages are highly detailed. There is also some real simulation drifting to be done along with drag racing and the addition of SUVs.
There is a new mode of game play on this version that is single player and takes the player through an entire season as a driver. The player will have a racing calendar that is personalized and will compete in over 200 events. The racing events in this game mode include circuit racing, timed events, drag racing, oval track and drifting. These events take place on a series of tracks including Circuit de Catalunya, Circuit de la Sarthe, Road America, Road Atlanta, Silverstone, and seven other real world race tracks.
The designers have included a new game rules editor for the online multiplayer games. The scoreboards will not only display the greatest race car drivers but they will display the best car painters and the best car tuners in the community. This is the racing game to have.
