League Of Legends

League of Legends is a game that was developed using the format and ideas from World of Warcraft lll map called the frozen throne. The game is played in defense of the ancients.

Players form into two separate groups that have anywhere from one to five players in each grouping. Each of the groups of players start on opposite sides of the map near a spot referred to as the Nexus. To win a match one group needs to get to the other side of the map and destroy the Nexus of their opponents. To be able to destroy these, the group will have to work their way through a series of Turrets.

These Turrets are actually more like towers, with the towers being strategically placed along the lanes leading to the other groups Nexus. In order to work their way through these towers the group will have to gain levels. To gain levels they will need to kill members of the other group’s minions or their champions. Champions are heroes that level up during the game. Each of these heroes will have their own unique abilities and are actually tagged as to their style of game play. There are currently 75 champions in the game, when the game was first introduced there were only 40 champions. These minions are constantly spawning and attacking the players of the opposing group. When players make enemy kills they are rewarded with gold to purchase items that will make improvements on their statistics. There are actually eighteen separate levels to be gained and there are four different abilities that are champion specific to be earned.

There are four separate modes of game play that a player can choose to play on, the tutorial mode, the practice mode, the normal mode and the mode of ranked.
