TrackMania Nations is part of the TrackMania series of racing games designed to be played on Nintendo DS gaming consoles, Wii gaming consoles, and on a PC, using Microsoft Windows. This racing game is slightly different from the rest of the pack.
Most racing games have you choose a car and then you get to race the car on a track that is preset and established. Most games try to duplicate real life race tracks for their games. In this game the player will construct their own tracks using blocks. Then the player will race around the track as many times as they can in a set amount of time. There is a multiplayer mode to this racing game, and the players will be racing on the same track, but they cannot run into each other or harm each other in any way.
This racing series has three basic car styles on each version. Players choose between the Rally super minis, the Alpine 4x4s and Speed muscle cars. Each type of car has numerous ways it can be decorated so that there are actually 87 different looking cars to choose from. Players can even use built in graphics editors or even external graphics editors and create new looks for the race cars.
Players can actually compete over the internet with other players in different locations. The web site for this game allows players the freedom to upload the tracks that they have created and the skins they have created so that other players can download them and use them when they play. Gamers who love to play racing games will get a thrill out of designing their own tracks and own courses to race on. This game puts an entirely new and fresh edge on racing video games. Each new addition to the series brings forth new challenges in the racing world.
